Anti-BullyingBullying behaviour can take many forms. It may include threatening words or gestures, name-calling, mimicking, causing physical harm, deliberately shunning or isolating someone or harassment but it may present itself in other ways too. Repeated behaviour that causes harm, unhappiness or distress to others is bullying. It is unfair, cowardly and unacceptable. Bullying will not be tolerated at Filey School. Any student who is being bullied or who is aware of bullying can use the ‘Report Bullying’ button. The report, which can be anonymous, will be forwarded to a mentor who will ensure that action is taken. Mr Dickinson, our Headteacher, will be asking all students to join him in the school’s campaign to 'Beat Bullying' at our school. As a sign of this commitment students will be given a wristband to wear to show that they recognise the harm that bullying can do, to show that they are against bullying and to show that they are determined not to be a bully and to do their bit to challenge bullying where it occurs.
