What is the Extended Schools cluster?

The cluster consists of 6 schools - Filey Secondary School, Filey Juniors, Filey Infant and Nursery School and the schools at Hunmanby, Hertford Vale and Sherburn.

What is the cluster working on?

Extended Schools is a national programme that aims to develop services in the area to support children, young people and their families under the following headings;
· Childcare / a safe place to be - working in partnership with childcare providers
· A varied menu of activities - including after school clubs and study support sessions
· Parenting support - family learning, information sessions at transition times
· Community access - developing use of school premises for the wider community
· Swift and easy referral - ensuring everyone working with children knows who offers support
